Here We Go!

After over a year and a half of preparation, the first churches will kick off their Vacation Bible School programs on Monday!

Starting next week there will be several churches all across the country going "Backstage With The Bible" every single week until September!

Please pray that our efforts will not be in vain.  Please pray that the kids and parents will be transformed forever by the gospel of Jesus Christ and by reading the Bible.  Please pray that the leaders will be bold enough to follow through with the gospel presentation and that the Holy Spirit would give them the right words to say at the right time.

I've never been more intimidated by a project than this VBS.  However, I've never been more convinced that we're doing what God wants us to be doing.  I will be sure to be continually blogging and twittering to make sure you're all kept up to date on how things go!

Our first VBS concert is next week in NY and we're booked solid all summer so we're looking forward to seeing lots of you in the coming months!

Now This Is A Compliment!

Here's an excerpt from an email we received from a Children's Pastor in North Carolina.

Of all my years in children's ministry, never have I been more excited about VBS! Backstage with the Bible is the BEST! It absolutely has taken my group by surprise and are excited about what and how God is going to use it to bless not just the kids but the adults as well! We are currently developing a team that will be waiting in the wings for those that will accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior!!

To me it feels like a Billy Graham crusade for today's younger generation!!

I Don't Even Know Where To Start

I've been getting hassled about my lack of blog posts lately.  (mostly by my brother...the same one who had issues with ladybugs!)  What's funny is I have TONS of posts that I've started and just end up deleting.  My problem is that I have so many things I want to talk about that I don't even know where to start!!!  So instead of going on and on, I thought I'd give you a quick rundown of all that's happening!

• The excitement surrounding our first Vacation Bible School curriculum has completely surpassed our wildest imaginations.  We are daily ordering and reordering t-shirts, starter kits, manuals, CDs and backstage passes in order to keep up with demand.  I am thoroughly enjoying the emails we get from churches sharing all that they're doing to make their programs successful this summer.  Please join the Go Fish Guys in praying for the kids and leaders who will be going "Backstage With The Bible" this summer!  Pray that the Word of God and His Gospel would be clearly communicated with each and every child.  It's ALL about the fishing.  CLICK HERE to see a partial list of churches using the curriculum.
• Have you looked at our summer schedule lately?  WOW!  Again, these are all a result of the Vacation Bible School curriculum.  This will be a great chance for us to reinforce with the kids all that they have learned in Bible school.  I've been working on the new summer show quite a bit and it's going to ROCK!!!  CLICK HERE to see the schedule.
• I've been thinking a lot about our next project.  We have a concept that I believe is our best yet and I can't wait to unveil it soon!  I finished writing the title track yesterday and I personally believe that the lyrics are some of our boldest.
• Andy and I both just finished studying the life of Moses in BSF this year.  One big theme was that God doesn't change and neither does His Word.  Look for this theme to be a big one on our next project.  In a world that's always looking for "the next big thing" to find happiness, the answer is right there under our nose.  It's in the Book - Huh!

Get A Real Job

I don't blog much about the "cute little things" my kids say since there are 10 million mom blogs who already do this.  However, this applies to Go Fish so I thought I'd share.  Mason is 5 and Parker is 3.

Me:  Pick up your toys guys.
Parker: I don't want to.  It's too much work.
Me:  I don't always feel like working but I still do it.
Mason: (rolls his eyes)  Pffft...you don't work.  You just sing.  That's an easy job.

Ouch!  I have to say though, he's sort of right.  I was just surprised that he already knew it!

Thank You Carol

A few days ago I posted images of our bookmarks that we're handing out to kids at our concerts this summer.  Carol emailed and asked if I may have put the wrong reference on one of my verses.  And YES I did!

Thanks to Carol reading my blog we were able to change the artwork before 15,000 incorrect bookmarks got printed up this week.

I think I better post more Go Fish materials on this blog before they go to print!  Thanks for proofreading for me Carol!

Bible Bookmarks

We are printing up bookmarks to give to the kids that come backstage at our Vacation Bible School concerts this summer.  We're hoping it encourages them to go home and look up our favorite verses on their own.  We're also encouraging all the kids to bring their Bibles to our concerts as well.  We'll be looking up some verses together during the course of the show!
